Drivers 21-24 years old

In summary : We are happy to accept drivers 21-24 years old.  If booking via Turo please read the conditions below.  If the cost becomes prohibitive we can insure the car via Insurecarhire rather than Turo as they do not charge the young driver fee and the Insignia can be hired if you are 23 and over.  This process must be done differently so contact me for details.

Age requirements for vehicle types

Depending on the type of vehicle, you may have to meet additional age requirements.  

• 21-24 can only book vehicles identified as Group 1-16 by the Association of British Insurers

(Currently only the Hyundai i10 and the Fiat 500 would be bookable from Chippenham Car Hire)

Age requirements for young driver fee

Drivers Age 21-24 have to pay a young driver fee. Neither Turo nor your host can waive a young driver fee. Young driver fees can’t be refunded to guests once they’ve completed their trip.  

• Ages 21-24 must pay a minimum £25/day young driver fee (this is in addition to the cost of the hire)

PLEASE NOTE

We can now also offer hires using our partner insurance company Insurecarhire.co.uk - this is especially useful for under 25 hirers (Min age 21), as there is no young driver fee . The pricing is slightly different to Turo as it's calculated based on hirer's age, car category etc so please call/email/message me for a quote.
